What happens first?

If you have contacted via e-mail Hannah would initially organise a telephone consultation with you to talk about the difficulties and problems, and how she may be able to help.

If she is able to help, an appointment will be arranged with you. However if, for whatever reason, Hannah is unable to help you, she will try her best to offer suggestions of services or colleagues who may be able to help.

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is an initial assessment, where an understanding is developed about the difficulties and challenges you (or your child) are attempting to overcome. Hannah will ask you some questions and answer any questions you may have about the sessions. Hannah will also give you some more information about what she can offer and ask you to provide basic contact details such as name, number, address, etc. 

How long will it take to be seen?

Depending on mutual availability, Hannah will try to organise sessions within one to two weeks of the telephone consultation. 

How long does therapy last?

The number of therapy sessions will depend on the difficulties and challenges being considered and worked upon, and you and Hannah will come to an agreement as to the best way to move forward. 

Are the sessions confidential?

Yes, your sessions are confidential which means that anything said in your session remains as information between you and Hannah.

However, there are conditions to this agreement in that confidentiality will be broken if, during the course of your sessions, Hannah has concerns about the following:

  • You may harm either yourself and/or another person
  • You or others are at potential harm from others

Hannah would always aim to discuss my concerns with you before contacting other agencies (such as emergency services), if it was safe to do so.

Where and when are appointments available?

Hannah has a number of bases throughout the North West and as such, during the initial free consultation telephone conversation she would discuss venue and where, geographically, would be most convenient.

Hannah tries her best to accommodate sessions when they are most suitable for you. She offers sessions predominantly on Fridays, weekends and evenings through the week.

What is the fee?

Fees are determined by the type of work required. A guide fee will be provided on request following initial contact.

Will I get charged for cancelled appointments?

Hannah kindly asks that 24 hours notice is given if an appointment needs to be cancelled, otherwise you will be charged for the session.
